Almost half way through the year already! 

January and February brought a very cold spell and the lakes were closed for about three weeks, much to the disgust of the "die hards", but then the early Spring months brought a flury of activity at the Fishery.

New members and renewals continued at a fairly steady pace through April and May, but has since slowed down a little.

There is no doubt that the credit crunch is taking it's toll, whereas in previous "hardtimes" anglers generally were able to continue fishing quite regularly, these days there are different priorities for obvious reasons.

To that end we have made some adjustments to the our tariffs, which we hope will attract new members and ease the situation for our existing members.

So we look forward to seeing more on you on the bank in the future weeks and months.

I have no doubt that some of you may have heard the rumours relating to a extensive fish loss in Kingfisher. This could not be further from the truth!  We did have a slight problem with the condition of the water and the Environment Agency were called out to assist with installing pumps and testing the water.  All tests came back negative and the water condition was restored within 48 hours.  In total we lost a handful of tench, roach and bream!
