Bailiffs
Report- Stuart Nesbitt
I
guess most of you have seen me by now on my rounds around the lakes.
Generally my job has been fairly easy with most of the members complying
by the rules.
However, rubbish
is being left behind
and is becoming a serious issue. after each weekend I can pick up
two carrirer bags full of rubbish, from swims around the lakes. There
is a rubbish bin compound in the car park area, that you have to walk
past to get to your car - so there can be no excuses.
A fairly recent
ruling is that you can only have two alarms on buzz bars. This is
to discourage anglers using three rods, but I do have to remind a
lot of anglers to remove their third alarm.
Im obviously not on the bank 24 hours a day (the wife would have something
to say about that!). Therefore our members should be confident and
not afraid of "telling tales",
if they see any of our rules being broken and should report them to
me or the office. All the rules are in force to protect your fish
and the high standard of the fishery.
OK that's the moan
over with.
It
has been a very good season with countless pb's being broken, which
I have been happy to witness and photograph, when im at hand. I'm
not only here to police the water, but to assist you in any way I
can, so please ask for help if you need it. I've lent out tackle to
several times this season, to members who have left this or that at
home. I've even been known to give out some of my "secret"
glugged baits to those who have struggled for a run.
Good
luck for 2006 and I look forward to seeing you all on the bank.
