Spring - March, April, May
MAY 2010
May Bank Holiday was tench day on Kingfisher - Michael De Courcy landed one at 10lb 2oz and Guy St. John had his pb of 9lb.
A popped up lobworm did the trick for Jason Craven with another "bullseye" cat of 53lb 8oz.
End of May brought a new pb for Alan M with a 49lb catfish on a halibut pellet from Mallard.
A hot week for father and son team, Lee and "Nobber" Hennessy was hard going on Kingfisher, but still produced nine tench to 9lb and an 18lb 8oz mirror.
Boilies worked for Tony Larner giving him a 17lb 8oz koi and 35lb cat from Heron.
Two pb's in one session for Pat Colgan, first a catfish of 29lb 10oz, followed by a bigger one of 36lb 5oz both on pellet.
A first cat experience for C. Grimmett gave him a 23 pounder from Heron, plus a 22lb 8oz mirror on a crust.
A mixed bag for Alex Platts was "good fishing", six commons to 25lb 4oz, a leather of 19lb 8oz, three mirrors to 26lb 4oz and massive 51lb 4oz cat on a pellet!
It was a lucky day for our bailiffs as Stuart also had two kois of 27lb 2oz and 24lb, a mirror of 44lb and three tench to 9lb 8oz.

Gary Furminger had a successful session on Kingfisher with three commons to 41lb 2 oz and a 9lb 2oz tench.

Don Blackman managed a new pb cat of 46lb 2oz from mallard's peg 7.
A four hour session for Martin Clark gave him a fabulous 32lb common, we think it took him by surprise!
A session on Kingfishers' peg 26 gave Dave Farmer five commons, best being 29lb and two tench of 6lb 10oz and 8lb 8oz.
Andy Bottomley's session on Mallard produced four cats to 43lb 13oz and a 25lb 2oz common. Not to be left out, his partner Julie Lamont had her pb koi of 13lb 7oz.
Peg 20 on Mallard gave Antony Stroud his UK pb cat of 64lb, plus a further four to 43lb 8oz.

A personal best tench of 12lb 2oz was Brendan's reward for a session on Kingfisher, plus two more at 9lb 6oz and 10lb, plus a common of 21lb.

Early May gave Laurence Tricker a trio of cats of 24lb, 26lb and 30lb.
APRIL 2010
Rob Wyld was able to have another session on Mallard and took a haul of 11 cats to58lb and a couple of small carp.
Towards the end of April the carp decided to put in a long awaited appearance. Gary Furminger had a "nice hat trick" on cell, koi of 26lb 8oz, common of 27lb and mirror of 44lb 3oz

....... and the cats kept on coming, this time four cats to 46lb for Ken M and three for Phil Alexander, best being 58lb 12oz.
Richard Howard had forgotten how hard the cats put up a fight, after landing a 50lb 8oz beauty on tuna paste!
A tench session for Luke Cornelius resulted in two fish of 7lb 5oz and 9lb1oz.
A four day session for M. Woolsey produced a further all good cat haul, six cats to 37lb and 27lb carp.
Despite moving from peg 16 to 7 on Mallard, Rob Wyld's success continued and his "best fishng ever" gave him nine cats to 60lb.
An "athlete of a fish" gave Mark Lee a run for his money, but managed to landed a 26lb 8oz common on a nugget.
There was a near streak was by David Halfacre, as he was only in his underpants when landing one of his three catfish at 1am, best being 33lb 7oz.
Tim Quinnell had a "pukka" week-end with three thirty pounder catfish, best being 36lb 8oz
Ashley Quinnell's first ever catfish was closely followed by his second and third, best being 28lb 8oz.
A patient Cliff Sivyer waited six months "without at touch" and then "Scar", a 31lb
Brendan Lanigan had a busy session of Mallard's peg 20, landing over 536lb of fish, 13 cats, best being 58lb and three commons to 22lb 2oz. Alex Farnworth land one of our big orange kois at 29lb 10oz from peg 24 on Kingfisher. Five days on Kingfisher for Ian Cox resulted in two kois of 25lb and 25lb 14oz and two commons of 20lb 8oz and 31lb 6oz
A hard five day session for Brian Tickner finally produced three cats fro Mallard, best being 27lb.Charlie Halfacre was on the bankside to lend his dad David, a hand in landing his first ever catfish of 42lb Rob Wyld was back again at the beginning of April, because he loves sloshing around in the mud, only to be rewarded with two cats, one of 40lb and another of 58lb - guess it was worth it!
MARCH 2010A first visit for Tim Quinnell in early March convinced him that it really is a "great place", with a mixed bag of carp of seven fish from a 10lb 8oz koi to 20lb 8oz common.
"Horray" from Ted Kettle with his first fish of 2010 - a 25lb 4oz koi from Heron.
New grange bait gave Simon Plant a "first class" 27lb 5oz common from Kingfisher.
First recorded cat of the year went to Rob Wyld, a 50lb specimen on a nugget! Followed by another 50 pounder on the same day for Alex Platts, this time a 54lb fish on a boilie!
Ian Cox cant wait to be back on a regular basis after a four fish haul of three kois to 32lb 12oz and 25lb 8oz common.
A new 10lb 2oz pb tench for B.Lanigan came out of peg 31 on Kingfisher.
Martin Lock's second season at Wintons began with a 51lb 3oz catfish from Mallard - a new pb for Martin.
Robin Red bait gave Martin Shaw his first ever cat at 40lb 10oz and a pb common of 27lb 12oz - "happy days".
FEBRUARY 2010
Phil Murray had his first session of the year on Kingfisher and saw 27lb 10oz common on the bankside, good start to the year!
