The end of August saw Phil Ball loose his virginity to his first cat - apparently it "feels good", we are sure he will remember a 25 pounder in mint condition.
Kirsty Clark recorded her first catch of a 15lb comm when fishing with her father Brian. Her father then had show that he could do it too - with a 16lb common followed by a 21lb cat.
Another virtually all cat haul was Laurence Tricker's entry on the Record Book, 18 cats, best being 33lb and a common of 25lb.
A days drive to get to Wintons from "up north" for Phil Murray was worth the effort with two commons of 24lb 2oz and 44lb and a 28lb koi.
Patience of a saint (not that you can really call Cliff a saint!!!!), is a virtue that has been well and truly tested - he has waited EIGHT long years to land a forty.
So the 42lb 12oz common below was the jewel in a crown for him! Congratulations Cliff!

Peg 7 on Mallard was a good spot for a three day session for Kelly MacKenzie. All his fish were taken after dark and before dawn, his rods were not even in the water during the day.
Total bag of 21 cats - three in their teens, eight 20 pounders, eight thirties, one forty, one fifty and best being 63lb 14oz.
What does Nick Humphrey want for Christmas.......? A new pair of arms and bigger scales after landing two cats, one of 39lb 2oz and the other at 41lb 2oz.
A first time session for Adam Merryweather for 48 hours on Heron was a learning curve for him. Using homemade boilies it was hardgoing for the first 24 hours, but changing tactics gave him 10 carp on the second day, best being 19lb 2oz. He's aiming for Mallard next time!
Early August saw Dave Farmer on Kingfisher using mix off the top and was delighted with a 33lb 8oz common and a 25lb 8oz koi.

JULY 2010
Stuart Nesbitt (Bailiff) was finally rewarded on Kingfisher with a 23lb 6oz koi and a 33lb 14oz common "happy days".
A brace of cats were banked by Lee Hennessy from Mallard's peg 8, the firt of only 6lb was followed by a beauty of 33lb.
Dave Farmer was extremely happy to record a 44lb 4oz common from Kingfisher - he has been patient up there ........... and it finally paid off!!

Another all cat bag for Paul Groves, with seven fish, best being 32lb.
T. Wilkinson was happy to "avit" with three cats, best being 45lb 8oz.
Following his success in the first comp Matt Barlow added to his tally a pb common of 43lb 8oz common from Kingfisher.
A "hard but rewarding" session for Sam Pike gave him a trio of commons of 18lb 4oz, 24lb 8oz and a pb of 43lb 6oz.
Kelly MacKenzie set up on Mallard for a four day session and quite honestly it is best left to him to describe his session, which is totally awesome..........!!!!!!!
"With the weather in the 80's I did not think that the fishing would be too good, but was I wrong. The first night between the hours of midnight and 7am I caught a PB of 66lb 4oz catfish and then went onto catch a 35lb 12oz, 30lb 10oz, 28lb 4oz, 61lb 8oz, 48lb 4oz, 21lb, 58lb 6oz and a 12lb.
The photos a 69lb 5oz catfish venue record and new P.B., this was one of 7 catfish between 3am to 9.30am, which included a 36lb 1oz, 24lb, 30lb 10oz, 25lb
8oz, 24lb 6oz and a 30lb 14oz. Decided to have one more night and between the hours of 2.45am and 4.30am had 5 catfish of 45lb 4oz, 56lb 12oz, 39lb 2oz, 30lb and 15lb. Did not fish during day as weather was too hot and I needed to rest. This session was made easier with the help of Alan and Stuarts bait and
knowledge and also thanks to Rob Wild and Terry for taking the pictures and helping to weigh in the catfish. All these catfish were caught on Mallard using 21mm halibut pellets.

........ and the cats kept on coming, this time for Mark Senior with his new pb of 61lb 8oz, plus four more best being 60lb 10oz.
An early July session for Gary Furminger paid off with a 25lb 4oz common and "Fatlip" weighing in at 36lb 8oz.
Martin McMahon did a three day stint on Mallards' peg 3 and despite loosing a few he recorded11 cats to 45lb 6oz and a mirror of 21lb 8oz.
Davy Boy lost the father and son of all cats and had to be content with the daughter at 30lb.
JUNE 2010
A trio of cats came out of Mallard's double swim for Steve Chilcot, best being 48lb 10oz
"Happy Camper", Gary Roberts had a session on Mallard's peg 3, recording four commons to 23lb, three kois to 16lb 4oz and two cats to 28lb 20oz
"All of the top" worked for Graham Kettle on Heron's peg 60, four commons, a couple of ghost carp and a 43lb cat on a nugget.
Wally Wassell is no "wally", taking two cats of 36lb and 42lb from Mallard's peg 9.
Dog biscuit bait was successful for Ben Browning during a two day session on Heron, recording five commons to 16lb 6oz, three mirrors to 24lb 3oz and a cat of 27lb.
A short 12 hour session for Martin McMahon on Mallard kept him busy with four cats, being being 52lb 10oz
New member Ashley Quinnell spent a week on Mallard and recorded 26 fish and just cant wait to get back. Four commons to 28lb 4oz, 14 cats with a new pb of 51lb, plus several mirrors, kois and leathers.
A five day session for Andy Murray was consistent with three cats to 51lb, four commons to 22lb and a small mirror of 7lb.
A new cat pb of 45lb 9oz for Todd Slaughter came from Mallard's peg 17.and then Martin Bennett had his first cats from peg 10, one of 31lb and then another of 45lb - what a way to start?!
"What can I say? Another dream come true. Oh look it's a smaller one! Wintons is the place where dreams come true", says Roy Leonard. A session on Heron giving him four cats of 20lb, 40lb, 49lb and 62lb is what he was talking about!
Barrie Allens' 30th birthday was celebrated in style with a last minute session arranged on Mallard which gave him at 51lb cat!
Teenager Nathan King had a fantastic session with a cat of 49lb 12oz and another one of 58lb 2oz.
