Whilst the Fishery has a comprehensive set of 41 Rules, there are a few issues that need a special mention and I would urge you to read the following to ensure that you are familiar with any changes made for the new season.

NET DIP – RULE 7

The net dipping tank and pipe is located by the Wendy House, please ensure nets are dipped on every visit to the fishery, prior to leaving the car park.

WHEELBARROWS

The wheelbarrows are provided for everybody's use, so please return them to the car-park after you have taken your tackle to the swim.

LANDING NETS – RULE 6

It is absolutely essential that every member has their own 50” landing net; sharing one between two swims is not acceptable.

We sell both landing nets and handles in the shop, they may be slightly more expensive, but replacement is guaranteed in the event that they break under normal use conditions.

UNATTENDED RODS – RULE 14 At no time should any member leave their rods unattended, if you want to leave your swim for any reason your rods must be wound in.

LIVE BAIT – RULE 18

No live/dead baiting between September and March.

LITTER – RULE 23

Whilst most members either place their rubbish bags in the bins provided or take it home. There is the minority who seem incapable to clear their swim up before they leave and think it acceptable to throw their rubbish in the bushes around the swims, or even make an effort to place it in another swim.

In future it will be noted which member is using which swim and following the Bailiffs morning round if any rubbish is found that member will be held accountable.

BAIT

There are bait restrictions in our Rules, but it would appear that some members are disguising prohibited baits in camouflage buckets in their bivvies. The Bailiffs will check all baits in future.

TOILETS

It is unbelievable that some members perceive that it is acceptable behaviour to defecate in the bushes and even have the audacity to leave toilet paper behind. This sort of behaviour will not be tolerated, use the toilet facility provided, as you will be instantly banned if discovered. It is the Bailiffs that have the unpleasant task of cleaning up after these revolting individuals!

NIGHT SESSIONS

Whilst we are very happy for members to book single night sessions, we have now found it necessary (very sad) to insist upon advance payment. During this season it has become evident that members are booking in, turning up after the office has closed and leaving before it opens and therefore not putting their Daily Tariff through the letterbox. We know this only applies to the minority, but as a result everyone must pay in advance.

DOGS

Some of you will have met our new German Shepherd - Digger, please remember he is only a puppy, so he is very nosy and quite boisterous, but fortunately he is friendly and loves to be with people.

Please remember do not feed him a leftover scraps, as they dont always agree with him and please dont let him get hold of your bait.  Thank you.

TAKEAWAYS

We are quite happy for take-away meals to be delivered to the fishery up to 9.00pm, but please ensure you arrange to meet the delivery in the car park at a pre-arranged time. Any delivery brought to the house will be turned away.

MEMBERS RESPONSIBILITIES

Whilst we have Bailiffs on site, there are without doubt incidences that occur that are not witnessed. It is every member’s responsibility to ensure that our Rules are not broken. Please be assured that if any member reports an offence to the office, all details will be held and dealt with in the strictest confidence.

Please also be vigilant with regard to the safety of your fellow Members and their tackle.

We had a near fatal accident this Summer, that was only prevented by the quick reaction of a Member who phoned the emergency

MOVEMENT ON AND OFF THE SITE

As you are all aware because we limit the number of anglers on each lake at any one time, everybody should arrive and leave at the same time, e.g. 7.00am, or 6.00pm.

However, it has been noted that anglers are leaving the site in the middle of the night and returning sometime later.

THERE SHOULD BE NO MOVEMENT ON OR OFF THE SITE
AFTER 10.00PM, IF YOU DO LEAVE THE SITE YOU
CANNOT RETURN UNTIL THE FOLLOWING MORNING.

CANCELLATIONS

Owing to the high demand of swims we have had to adopt a cancellation procedure.

1) In the event that you do not cancel a booking and do not turn up, you will be asked to pay 50% of the value of the session booked. You will be sent a letter requesting this payment.

2) In the event you do not pay this cancellation fee, the daily tariff owed will be deducted from your membership fee and your membership cancelled.
