John Helder with a banging session July 23
John Helder had a terrific session with a mix of cats and carp telling us “Well, had a fantastic 2 weeks on Mallard lake. First week was all catfish, the carp were well quiet. The water was very warm, can’t moan. 66lb was the best catfish with 3×501b+…2 ×40+ and quiet a few 30″s and 20’s, great bit of action on my carp gear. 2nd week cooled down with a couple days of rain. And Mr carp started showing. The best was 36lb, followed by 33lb+..27lb + 26lb and 5 other carp over the 20lb+mark..absolutely made up. Thank you to Phil Cochrane for all your help this week, and a big thank you to everyone at Wintons fisheries,love the place. See you in September.
